Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU) is one of the main universities in Palestine that grants academic and vocational degrees in engineering and technology in addition to lifelong learning and technical and technological consultations using the latest technologies and best practices in all fields. PPU has the mission of graduating qualified labour forces able to make a positive change and fulfill the needs and requirements of the community in scientific, technological, and research fields. Providing innovative ideas and solutions. Emphasizing the role of the scientific research and development in accomplishing sustainable and substantial national growth. And create excellence through enhancing resources and building the capacity of human resources. PPU was established in 1978 by the University Graduates Union (UGU) a local charity that provides educational services, it is affiliated to the Palestinian University Presidents Council, the International Association of Universities, the Arab Universities League, and the Islamic League of Universities. PPU includes the faculties of Engineering and Technology, Applied Sciences, Administrative Sciences and Informatics, Information Technology and Computer Engineering, and Applied Professions, it is considered to be a medium sized university with more than 50 academic programs and more than (6,500) students.

Nabil Al-Joulani
Dr NABIL AL-JOULANI is an Associate Professor of civil and environmental engineering at Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU) since 1997. He obtained his PhD from Carleton University in Canada in 1995, and M.Sc. in civil and engineering from the University of Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia in 1987, and B.Sc in civil engineering from King Abdul Aziz University in Saudi Arabia in 1983. Dr AL-Joulani acted as the chairman of Civil Eng. Dept. from 2006–2008 and the director of the engineering consultation and technical services dept. from 2004-2006. He has more 20 years of experience in engineering consultation for national and international companies, and 20 years in teaching in higher education institutes in Saudi Arabia, Canada, and Palestine and in the USA. Dr Al-Joulani licensed for Negotiation and Mediation in Environmental Conflict Resolution from the USA. He is a member of the Palestinian International Arbitration Chamber, and the International Arbitration Organization, Cairo, Egypt. He is licensed as legal Arbitrator and Mediator from the Ministry of Justice, Palestine, 2014. Dr Al-Joulani is a member of the World Society of Sustainable Energy Technologies Journal (WSSET), 2009. He is a member of the Editorial Board for the Palestinian Cities Report Initiative, Palestine, 2014. Dr Al Joulani is currently a master trainer in the center of excellence in teaching and learning for staff development in higher education at the PPU. He participated in many conference and workshops on teaching and learning and quality of teaching in higher education. Dr Al-Joulani was a visiting professor at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in the USA in 2010, Birzeit University in 2011 and at Viseu Polytechnic Institute in Portugal from 7-11/3/2016. He published about 25 articles in peer reviewed international Journals and conferences. He is the research coordinator at the Palestine Stone and Marble Center (PSMC) at the PPU.
Ghassan Omar Shahin
Dr. Ghassan Omar Shahin is an Assistant Prof. of E-Learning and Information Systems at the College of Administrative Sciences & Informatics (CASI) at the Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU). He has obtained his PhD in E-Learning from University of Malaya in 2012, and MBA in Information Systems from Maastricht School of Management, and a BSc. In Computer Science from INTERCOLLEGE (now University of Nicosia). He served as the Dean of CASI , from 1999 to 2004 and from 2012 to 2014 , and as the Information Manager for 2 years at PPU. He has more than 20 years of work experience in private sector and academia in different countries. Currently, he is a Master Trainer for faculty development at Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at PPU. Dr Shahin has founded three Bachelor Degree programs of CASI, namely Information Systems, Contemporary Business Administration, and Information Technology. Also he participated In founding other programs such as Multimedia / Graphics program, Project Management – both are Undergraduate programs. He represented the university in various committees on national levels. Dr. Shahin is a member of Editorial Boards and Reviewers of International Journals, local and international conferences, also as committee member and session chair. He has acted as internal examiner for Master thesis at University of Malaya and at PPU, and has supervised many undergraduate projects and Master Thesis. His research interests are mainly in E-Learning, particularly in Blended Learning, e-business, and IS.
Mahmoud H. M. Saheb
Dr Al Saheb is an associate professor in the IT Department at Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU). Worked as dean of the Administrative Sciences and Informatics College for more than 5 years, and the head of IT department for many years, and director of the Quality assurance Unit at PPU for 3 years. AQAC board member www.aqac.mohe.gov.ps for 4 Years, member of the International Arab Journal of Information Technology (IAJIT) editorial board www.iajit.org, and member of the IT programs evaluation team in MOHE. Participated in many Tempus projects, and led the quality teams for Quality Assurance in the Rufo and E-Gov Tempus projects. Participated as team leader for developing e-Learning strategy, Information Security Policy and the strategic Plan for PPU. Participated in designing and developing many commercial systems. Participated in many conferences. Current research interest’s fields are Database systems, Data mining, and Quality Assurance.
Wisam Shamroukh
Mr. Wisam Shamroukh is the Entrepreneurship and Innovation lecturer at Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU) and a senior consultant in Entrepreneurship, SME, international trade, capacity building, technical training, and IT development. At PPU, Mr. Shamroukh currently works as a director of Information Technology Center of Excellence. He occupied several positions at PPU, of which he was a chairman of department of Computer and Management, Training Department Manager, Director of University Graduates Union. Mr. Shamroukh earned his Master in Computer Science from University of Detroit Mercy UDM in 2001. He is recognized as International Arbitrator, Intel entrepreneurship Trainer, Green Entrepreneurship Trainer, as well a Certified Technical Trainer CTT+ and Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT.)
Osama Ata
Dr Osama Ata is and Associate Professor at college of engineering and technology at the PPU. He received his B.Sc. (Hon) degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Hull, UK, the M.Sc. degree and the Ph.D. degree, in Antenna Systems and Microwave Propagation, from the University of Wales, Cardiff, UK. He joined the University of Wales, Bangor, UK to carry out research funded postdoctoral work in medical Doppler Ultrasound for over three years. He worked as an Assistant Professor at the Dept. of Communications Engineering, Yarmouk University in Jordan. For two years until Dec. 1996, he went as a Visiting Scholar to Victoria University of Technology in Melbourne Australia. He worked at the Dept. of Electronic Engineering, Al-Quds University in Jerusalem between Jan 1997 – Aug 1999. He was a Visiting Research Scholar working in the smart antennas research group in 1999. He was, then, offered a Principal RF engineer and a senior consultant appointment with SPRINT-Advanced Technology Labs for over five years. On July 1st, 2005, he became the CTO of an ICT company in Palestine, taking responsibility of three technical departments besides Research and Development. Dr Osama spent two short visiting fellowships to Villanova University in USA, during Fall 2011 and Summer 2012, funded by AMIDEAST’s Palestinian Faculty Development Program. Dr. Ata teaches courses in Antennas and Propagation, Microwave Communications, Radar Systems, Electromagnetics and Transmission Line Theory. His research interests are in microwave horn antennas, microstrip antennas, Radio Frequency propagation, In-building penetration loss modeling and measurement, electromagnetic radiation and RF cellular planning
Adnan Shehada
Dr Adnan Shehada is The director of Centre of Excellence in Teaching and Learning at Palestine Polytechnic University. Assistant professor of TESOL & Teacher Education. He has got Ph. D in TESOL & Teacher Education from The Ohio State University and MA in applied Linguistics from Salford University in UK. For the last five years he has been involved in academic development as trainer on syllabus design, methods of teaching in higher education and assessment. As EFL expert and consultant, he has been in the field for more than fifteen years as syllabus designer, teacher training and taught a wide array of courses at the level of BA as well as MA, and supervised several MA theses in Methods of Teaching English as a Foreign Language(TEFL). Dr. Shehadeh has published articles on motivation , Age in second language acquisition and reading strategies. In addition to this, his research interests include teaching materials and academic development. He also has presented in a number of conferences and educational round tables.
Mohammed Husni Tamimi
Dr M. Tamimi is an assistant Prof. at the PPU. He obtained his Ph. D. in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching (SLAT), University of Arizona, Tucson AZ- USA, Majoring in Pedagogy and Minor in Instructional Technology. Dr Tamimi is the director of the Language Center at the PPU. He was involved in developing learning material using technology, ICT courses. E-learning and blended learning using various technology tools. Dr Tamimi is a trainer in integrating Web 2.0 technologies in teaching and learning Languages. He acquired communication skills, management skills, entrepreneurship skills, soft and life skills. His research interests are in teaching language and culture, blended (hybrid) language learning, hypermedia, Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL), Web 2.0 technologies, e-learning, learning through mobile devices, using Facebook groups in teaching language, Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL).
Ghadi Zakarneh
Dr Ghadi Zakarneh is an assistant Professor at for Surveying and Geomatics at Palestine Polytechnic University since 2013. He earned his Master Degree in Geomatics/Geodesy from the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences. He also earned his PhD in Civil Engineering and Geodesy from the Technical University of Darmstadt. I have different skills on different educational software such as Arcgis , autocad, civil 3d , photogrammetric modelling software , geodetic software... etc, and used hardware such as level, theodelite, total station, gps,3d vision glasses, scanners , laser level .... etc Research interests: surveying, GNSS, geodesy, photogrammetry and close range photogrammetry, GIS and cartography.
